Driftwood Cottage

I must be in the summer frame of mind because I have been dying to do a "beachy" Fairy house...so here is my first..."Driftwood Cottage."  I just love, love, love it!  Almost of all the shells I used were from my own collection.  There are shells from all over the Caribbean and as far away as Bora Bora.  Now I really want to pack my car and head to the beach.  Enjoy the tour of this new property!

A very nice man a flea market gave me this piece of driftwood!  What a great base it makes!

I added driftwood steps to fill in some gaps.

Pretty Profile.

The only window is framed in coral & seashells.

Aerial view of the roof made from dried tropical seed pods from a potpourri basket.

The house was made from this little chicken coop cage that was filled with beachy Potpourri that I found in Marshall's.

This club chair is from a Coconut shell I picked up off the street in Puerto Rico!

Close-up of the dining table w/ sea glass plates from St. Barth's, seashell bowls, a conch shell candlestick and fruit bowl.

I covered two sewing spools in rope & linen to make them look more nautical!

In the back is the Starfish table with a conch shell cup & a seashell chaise lounge.

A view of the back.

I painted the hutch vanilla and added shell drawer pulls & blue coral.  A bottle of sand from the sandbox fit perfectly!

I trimmed the top of the front door with rope to conceal the edges of the wire.

A little wire basket is ready for fishing!

The two "Telescopium" shells make great wall sconces.

The Post Cabin

This new fairy house was a re-model!  I was asked to "fairy-ize" this log cabin bought in a local garden store for one of my parents gardens.  It was installed this weekend and fit the landscape perfectly!  This the first house where I knew electricity was an option so I added a very small strand of lights and what a magical effect it created at night!  Enjoy the tour of "The Post Cabin."

"The Post Cabin" re-modeled and in it's new home.

A new moss roof, pine cones, acorns & honeycomb trim.

A very tall ladder leading to the new porch was made with sticks & moss.

Care for a swing on the tire swing anyone?

The front door is framed with some feathers and you can see the wood sofa that sits along one wall.

This tin Altoid bed is filled with moss & feathers.

Don't you just want to sit on this front porch?

Two acorn sconces flank the front door and a branch from an Aspen tree Mom brought back from Idaho rests above the door.

Mom loves hearts so I made a heart shaped welcome mat out of moss.

This little sign sits at the base of the house near the ladder.

A view at night.

Good night!

Amelia and little Patty coming in for a closer look.

Has anyone moved in yet?

Hydrangea Gazebo

This house was just delivered to Judi @ Cottage Charm in Lafayette, NJ.  Judi has two of my properties for sale in her lovely store, but this one is for her.  She gave me a little gazebo from her store and asked me to "fairy-ize" it anyway I chose.  Since she mentioned that she loved Hydrangeas I painted it purple added silk leaves & Hydrangeas to the roof and "Voila!" ... Thanks again Judi for your support of my new business!

A peak through the picket fence at the front of the gazebo!

Here you can see the 2 sewing spool tables, the thimble of flowers and the table set for afternoon tea.
So very summery!

A little basket of bread sits on one window sill.

This bench is made from part of an old dollhouse vegetable cart.

All the hearts used on the bench, outside table and inside chairs are antique drawer pulls!

You can just see the Silver Dollar ceiling fan hanging above the table.
I attached the gazebo to a round walnut base and used moss to create a lush front yard!   The picket fence just tied it all together!

Blue berry tarts in bottle caps, flower petal cups and sea glass plates make a pretty picture.
