Twilight Woods Inn

Twi-hard fans should recognize the theme for the "Twilight Woods Inn."   Inspired from Edward & Bella's wedding which had the most spectacular wedding set I've ever seen.  I was watching the movie with my cousin Maggie and we both agreed that it looked like the wedding was set in a fairy forest and I knew then I had to try to re-create that look in one of my fairy houses.  Hope you like it!  This property will be for sale at the Whimsical Properties booth during the Penn-Mar Irish Festival in Shrewsbury, PA on June 16th.

The "Twilight Woods Inn" offers a lot of privacy and has white wisteria and other flowers cascading all around it!
A thimble sitting on the heart shaped nightstand holds a  bouquet of flowers and candlesticks of various heights.

The base of the inn is surrounded by ferns & white flowers.
I used an old birdcage, mounted it on a walnut tree stump and covered the roof with hundreds of white & ivory blossoms.

The sewing spool table on the side holds a light snack of french bread, a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine w/ two acorn wine glasses.

The room is surrounded with these seed pod & leaf wall sconces making very romantic lighting.

The bed is made of twisted vines, green & ivory silk linens and an antique lace canopy!  Very romantic!

A flower petal path leads to the front door.

A heart bench sits outside and it's a great place to snuggle & watch the stars at night!

An aerial view of the beautiful roof.

Cottage Charm in Lafayette, NJ Selling Whimsical Properties

Thanks to Judi @ Cottage Charm in Lafayette, NJ for putting the "Cherry Blossom Cottage" and "Le Jardin" in her delightful store.  I met Judi last year when Ryan and I were on one of our shopping trips for unusual things to "fairy-ize."  As we were  shopping in Judi's store we explained what we were looking for and about my new business.  She was so kind and interested.  Six months later we were back and after presenting me with a packet of goodies she had been collecting for me she said she wanted these two houses for her store and she gave me a cute little gazebo to "fairy-ize" for her!

So, if your summer travels have you in Northern New Jersey (Sussex County) please pop into Cottage Charm.  It's a great store in a charming town chock full of great antiquing & shopping!

The Wee Shamrock

"Slainte!"  Good food, good friends and good fairy fun are to be had at The Wee Shamrock a traditional "fairy-ized" Irish Pub.  This OOAK fairy establishment will be on sale at the Whimsical Properties booth at the Irish Festival on June 16th in Shrewsbury, PA.  As the Irish blessing above the bar says, "May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow and may trouble avoid you wherever you go."

Please check out the Decorative Fairy House Gallery Page to read the new & improved MLS listing on this property.

Cheers!

The pub is built out of a green iron bird cage and mounted on a round slab of walnut. The roof is covered in shamrocks & moss.

Here is a view from a distance to better see it's "wee" size.

Custom hand engraved signage

Here is a little peek at the inside.  The front door has an Irish carved heart door knob.

All the inside furnishings were made from re-claimed barn wood.  Antique perfume bottles are filled with spirits, the cash register is ready, the acorn wine glasses & wooden beer mugs hang from above and the Shepard's Pie is cooling.

What would ANY Irish pub be without Guinness & Harp on tap?

The locals here are known for the nightly competitive game of checkers.

The outdoor tables are a great place for dining or just having drinks.  Tables are wood and the stools are champagne corks.

This Irish Blessing hangs inside near the bar.

An old wine jut sits atop the shelf.

Here shamrocks preserved from a long ago St. Patrick's Day rest against a basket of flowers.

The sandwiches here are good, but the fish-n-chips are the specialty of the house.  Daily specials are printed on the chalkboard to the right of the bar.

A view of an outdoor table set for dinner.  Love the mismatched green linens.

Wanna meet for a drink later?

Killian's Keep

"Top o' the mornin to ya!" This is "Killian's Keep", a truly Irish Fairy house.  This is my first stone house and it will be for sale at the Whimsical Properties booth at the Penn-Mar Irish Festival in Shrewsbury, PA on Saturday, June 16th.  This one is going to be hard for me to let go!  Enjoy the sneak peek and don't forget to go to the Outdoor Fairy House Gallery to read all about "Killian's Keep."

At Killian's Keep... the lilt of Irish laughter will lighten every load.  The mist of Irish magic will shorten every road. And all of your friends will remember all the favors you are owed!

"Killian's Keep" situated in the rolling Irish Hills.

This is made of stone with a moss roof and sits on an old log covered in moss.

An outside dining table made from stone is surrounded with great views.

There is lots of shrubbery & flowers surrounding the fence of this property.

Inside view of the chair, table and ladder - you can see a little
of the sleeping platformthat has a sheepskin mattress.

A peg at the front door holds the mini slingshot.

Side view of the pretty lavender filled window boxes.

A long view down the left side fence.

Pretty as a picture!

A rear view of the stone back!

The twig fence wraps around most of the property.

The moss is all real and collected in our favorite NJ woods.

The flowers for the window boxes were picked here.

Acorn sconces flank the front door and an acorn of Pixie Dust sits just inside the door.

The shelf above the window holds a marble and a fresh loaf of bread.

"Le Jardin" pretty as a garden.

A peak inside at the pink gingham cupcake liner dining table with a seed pod candelabra, flower tea cup & slice of homemade lemonade cake.

The hand painted hutch holds tons of goodies...the rest of the Lemonade cake, acorn tea pot, breads, sugar, key, Pixie Dust and thimble of flowers.

This Calla Lilly chair is just adorable..the cushions are cotton balls.
