Little Bird Cottage

"Oh, la la...I just love, love, love Little Bird Cottage!"  It just turned out so pretty and fresh looking!  These little bird cages just making the most beautiful fairy homes!  This house feels a little French to me which will make my French Family happy.   Although Flore, my sister always says, we American's have a different take of "French Country" decor than the actual French Country.  Who cares...I adore this house.  Don't forget to go to the Decorative Fairy House Page to read the whole listing!  Une bonne nuit!

Lilac Loft

Here is the newest "decorative" fairy house made from a birdcage.  I feel like I'm making a designer line of Pixie Hollow houses because it has the same feel as "Tink's Place." Josie is insisting it should be Vidia's house because it's purple..in fact her Vidia doll was sleeping inside it this morning...now I wonder who put her there?  Don't forget to go to the Decorative Houses Page to read the full listing of the Lilac Loft.

The Lilac Loft made from a bird cage is hanging in a beautiful lilac bush.

Another view of this pretty little house.

What a view your fairy will have while lying in the wicker rabbit bed!

So sweet!

From the other window we can peek inside to see the desk, the ink well with lovebird feather quill, the acorn teacup & cookies!

Inside view of the desk with pieces of paper ready for some prose!  Notice the jar of purple pixie dust on the shelf!

I just L.O.V.E. this pretty desk chair!

Here you can see the back of the rabbit's ears in this bunny bed with matching purple linens.

This flower has dew drops on it and makes a really pretty chandelier!

Blossom House

Don't forget to go to the Outdoor Fairy House page to read the full listing on this new property!

This house is mounted on a split log with a pretty hefty slope, but it made a nice place to hang the lace swing!
This blossom and the pink baby's breath just makes this house beautiful!

Antique lace swinging chair!
Curving wood staircase leading to the house.

Here you can see some of the white seed pods I used as lanterns.

Here you can see the  wood sofa w/ feather cushions and the acorn wine goblet!
Peaking in through the foliage to the side windows w/ the walnut basket of apples & bread!

The ladder going up to the attic and a acorn full of green pixie dust.

"Feather Haven"

This is "Feather Haven" another decorative fairy house made from a bird cage!  I loved the fairy bakery  with the birdcage so I went to Michael's to buy as many other birdcages as I could.  This is a larger size, but I think it is a rather sophisticated home for a woodland fairy.  I think what I like best is the old clock face that I used for the floor.  It used to hang in my kitchen, but broke so I took it apart and have used a lot of the pieces in different properties.  It makes such a cool floor I need to find more old wall clocks!!!

Don't forget to go to the Decorative Houses Gallery to read the story of "Feather Haven."

Feather Haven is made of a bird cage, Sycamore Bark & Twigs.  The pops of peacock blue with the feathers create the excitement.

A peek through the blue feather curtains in a side window.
Staircase leading to the front door.

A little side view.
This wreath was made to match the exterior & interior.  Thank goodness our Lovebird Jersey is molting.  His tiny little feathers are just awesome!

View of the downstairs living & dining area!  Small, but very sophisticated.
The kitchen hutch was stained and painted blues to match the feathers.
This cake was modeled after the chocolate & white cooked icing cake my Mom makes.  It rocks!
The lofted bedroom with a bird basket bed I found in a junk shop.

"Tink's Place" Our First Celebrity Listing

Here is "Tink's Place!" Yes, of course it is based on Tinkerbell and why not?  It was after all the hours of watching Tinkerbell movies with my children that started this whole fairy house thing.  This green birdcage literally screamed "Tinkerbell" to me when I sat it beside the garland of yellow berries!  Josie in particular loves this house even though Vidia, the fast flying fairy & Tinkerbell's rival is her favorite fairy.  I keep finding her Tinkerbell doll inside this house!  So, enjoy our first "Celebrity" listing and Happy Easter!  Go to the "DECORATIVE FAIRY HOUSE GALLERY" to

"Tink's Place" hanging in a little glen.

Close-up so you can see "Tink's" door bell.
Daffodil light fixture hanging on the inside.
Peek inside at Tink's four poster bed!

A child's letter block & wood make a great nightstand!

Tink's umbrella leans against the bookcase w/ her bowl of pixie dust!

The top of her bookcase hold a thimble of flowers & an acorn tea pot!  The Dice is a favorite in her collections of found trinkets.

An ariel view of the inside of Tink's Place.  It's a fantastic bed w/ a leaf duvet & flower petal pillow.
