Gumdrop House

I know, I know...it's been a long time since I've posted!  We made a sudden move so instead of working on my fairy houses I've been packing and unpacking my own house.  I have so missed creating my whimsical properties over the past few months, but I have a new house ready for a Christmas craft event this weekend.  Gumdrop House was inspired by one of my daughter's summer dresses...it always reminded me of candy.  She was not very happy when I cut it to pieces to make curtains and fairy bedding, but she does love this new house.  It's got a totally different "flavor" than my other properties.  Hope you like it!  Come join us this Saturday from 6 - 9 p.m. for wine, hors d'oeuvres and lots of Christmas shopping at St. John the Baptist Church in New Freedom, PA.

I found this 2 story house which was painted yellow in a Goodwill store.

The first floor has a dining table w/ a cupcake liner tablecloth, sewing spool stools, lollipop chair, pot belly stove

I love this bed made from a Jelly Belly tin.  Josie's dress made wonderful linens, curtains & rugs!

The roof is made of painted popsicle sticks!

I added the heart shutters & the window boxes and filled them w/ dried flowers and candy!

This large artificial gumdrop snowflake makes a cool visual in the back of the house...so does all the willowy grasses.

The house is mounted on a moss covered base!

Yummy gumdrops!
