Terrace Moss

Introducing "Terrace Moss"....this one should prove to be interesting if I need to ship it because of the length & weight of the log base, but it was too fabulous not to use!  Enjoy!

New Outdoor House Under Construction

I started this house before I left for vacation....the log platform it sits on has quite a wing span.  No name yet, but I must have been thinking about relaxing because the hammock idea came the night before I left!  Enjoy the sneak peek!

Caribbean Inspiration

Oh, what a 7 day cruise throughout the Caribbean (without your children) will do to re-fresh the batteries and inspire your imagination.  My very generous parents took my brother and I and our spouses aboard the Sea Dream Yacht last week.  I needed all that on board pampering after hours of combing the beach & diving for shells, beach glass, coral, and a variety of island seed pods & grasses.  I'm so excited that I made it through customs with my treasures from St. Barts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. John's, Virgin Gorda , Puerto Rico & St. Martin and I can't wait to do my first tropical island inspired Fairy House.  Grab a Pina Colada and stay tuned for a new look!

Coconut Grove, Nevis.....sensational conch shells washing ashore as we washed down our champagne!  That's the Sea Dream 1 Yacht in the background!

Shell Beach, St. Barts...I've never collected so much beautiful sea glass in one spot!

I can't wait to try my hand at some of the gorgeous colors of the island houses!

The Cherry Blossom Cottage Goes to Charity

My Cherry Blossom Cottage is going to be auctioned during Penn-Mar Human Services Black Tie Gala auction on March 3rd in Hunt Valley, MD.  Penn-mar is a local non-profit organization that provides a variety of wonderful support services to families and individuals with disabilities.  I have added some new touches to this fairy cottage before it heads off for auction.  The chandelier is my favorite addition!  Enjoy and let's hope it helps Penn-mar raise much needed funds!

I love this flower berry chandelier.

The chairs are new and more sturdy for playing!  I also included some breads.
Here I added an end table covered in leaves & flower petals and it is holding a tea tray w/ tea pot, flower petal tea cup & acorn sugar bowl!  Yummy!

I added the flowers above the bed for another pop of color and a pretty visual.

I thought this chair was too plain before so I added flowers for the garden themed room.

New Pictures of "Glen Fairie"

I was not happy with my exterior shots of the kids fairy house, but when the snow was coming down the other day I decided I had to shoot it outside for better pictures!  I had to take out all the furniture because it weighs about 50 lbs now with all the bark...I almost didn't fit through the door and I prayed the entire time that I didn't slip and drop the house!  My arms are still sore, but the pictures are worth it...so much more realistic than shooting in my dining room!  Josie said all the fairies in the neighborhood were going to come and warm up inside near the fire because of the snow!  I just love that!

Welcome to "Glen Fairie"

This is the house I finally completed for my VERY patient children.  We've been working on it for months and now it's ready for action.  It's a huge house and is occupying the entire corner of my dining room.  The kids fairy house was inspired by their Grandparents house... "Glen Erin" which is fitting since a lot of the materials came from their property.  Enjoy the tour!  I'm sure we'll being adding pieces & decorations for the rest of the year!

Side porch w/ tire swing.

Attic bedroom for the boys!

Master bedroom w/ fireplace & ladder to the attic.

Even fairies need the loo

The heart of every house is the kitchen and this one rocks!

I had a bed just like this when I was little that my Dad made.

"Mmmm...good!" The Fairy Delicious Bakery

This house was commissioned for a budding pastry chef!  I started with a metal bird cage from Michael's, cut-out a door & windows and added all the pretties!  During this project I learned to make miniature food out of polymar clay!  Who knew?  Now I'm hungry!
