Pine Cone Lodge in Under New Ownership

I had to share a picture of one of my favorite kids and now a satisfied Whimsical Property owner.  This is  Ryan with his new fairy house.  His family purchased "The Pinecone Lodge" for their home in New Jersey.  I just received word that the fairies FINALLY visited the other night and the children were thrilled! A little patience and a lot of "I Do Believe in Fairies.  I do.  I do."...  paid off...they found the house!  "Yahoo!"

Cross Creek Farm's 10th Anniversary Open House

Congratulations Carolyn & Steve of Cross Creek Farms on 10 years in business!  Your store is outstanding and thank you for asking Whimsical Properties to display this weekend!  It was HOT, HOT, HOT then I got WET, WET, WET...but what a great turn out!  I even caught a few little visitors at my booth.

Man, was it H.O.T.  then the monsoon arrived..thank goodness for a tent w/ roll down flaps!

Do you see her?
Sssh!  Here she is!

This fairy was heading right for "Tink's Place."

This little beauty was just flitting all around the houses!  She just couldn't decide which one she wanted!

Pine Hollow

My fingers are bleeding and my house is a wreck, but I got one more house finished in time for the big weekend!  Now I hope I didn't get poison ivy during the photo shoot!  Lots & lots of pine cones on this property!  I still have sap stains to go w/ the blood on my fingers!  It's really cute though and I love the huge pine cone that I picked up at a flea market for .25.....deal!  Enjoy!

Lots of pine cones here!

My husband got all the moss for the base off the roof our lake house..it's very different than what I find in the woods.

"Welcome!"  The Aspen branches my Mom brought back for me from Sun Valley, ID  I need more!

The stepping stones are the ends of pine cones.

An outdoor table made of stone & wood w/ an acorn teapot & cup and a bowl of apples!

I added a window box for a splash of color.

The shutters were made by attaching pieces of pine cones to wood.

This is truly a whimsical fairy chair made from a seed pod from a bag of potpourri & pine cones.  The lamp is so cute too!

I actually was able to get a picture of the little white bird that nests in the upstairs window!

The bed is wood covered in moss with a dried mushroom headboard!

Secret Garden

Here is a new property just in time for Cross Creek Farms 10th Anniversary Celebration this weekend!  Enjoy the tour...hopefully you will feel like you've taken a walk in an English Garden! Thanks to Katie for letting me use her beautiful garden for my shoot!

The iron birdcage I used had has a butterfly, leaf & floral motif on the sides.
A look through the front door.

The handpainted hutch is filled w/ a sewing basket, key, watch, pixie dust, a flower pitcher & thimble.

The dining table top is an old canning lid.  The table is set w/ silver dollar place mats, flower petal cups & a plate of fruit.

A hammock hangs upstairs for sleeping and is surrounded by 3 Chinese Wish Lanterns made of flowers.

The roof is covered in moss.

A close-up.

A little yellow butterfly likes to land here during the afternoon.

I cut the wires to make some windows & a front door.

Take a peak in the window.

The sofa is made of wood & moss in the shape of a butterfly & has a pretty pink flower pillow.
